Harris County
Northwest Houston
Northwest Houston is shaped by two major corridors: US-290 toward Cypress and SH 249 toward Willowbrook and Tomball. Beltway 8 and the Grand Parkway connect the two. Housing includes subdivisions built across several decades, garden apartments and townhouses near the freeways, and newer construction farther out. Some addresses are inside cities such as Jersey Village, while many others are in unincorporated Harris County. That difference affects services, taxes, rules, and records, so confirm the jurisdiction before treating “northwest Houston” as one place.
