Central Houston puts Downtown, the Texas Medical Center, Uptown, and many inside-the-Loop neighborhoods relatively close on the map, but crossing between them is not always simple. I-10, I-45, and I-69/US-59 all meet near the core, and housing can change within a few blocks, from early bungalows and garden apartments to townhouses, mid-rises, and high-rise condos. Here, I would spend as much time checking the immediate street and your daily route as the mileage.
